Hazelnuts grow on hazel trees and are part of the nuts family. Their shells hold one seed, usually called “hazelnut”. This dried fruit maturation takes place during autumn. It can be harvested between the end of August and September.
The hazelnut originates from Italy, Spain, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
